This is a piece for typical bigband. This was composed with the traditional negro spritual called "Jericho".  The composer himself also conducted the piece. and it was performed by NEC Jazz orchestra.

This is an arrangement from the third movement of the third symphony composed by Brahmas for Jazz trio. Although it was composed during the Romantic period as a typical pure classical music, the melody and the chord progressions feel like a chanson to some degree. Therefore this situation could have a characteristic that the original music is apt to be transformed into Jazz.

This is the Jazz tune that is one of the most performed pieces in the World. As we know, the rhythm of the tune is based on Bossa Nova. The most famous Latin Jazz musician Antonio Carlos Jobim created the melody, and Vinicius de Moraes wrote the lyric of this tune.

 

The Autumn of Hyunlee

"Hyunlee" is the name of the place which is located in Kyunggido area. This is a kind of a Jazz Ballad expressing the beauty of the place and an affair associated with it.

This is a piece for typical Jazz small ensemble. Interestringly, this piece has its structure in the form of sonata.

At the same time, piano has a leading role among other instruments like piano concertos. This is a kind of Homage for Jazz Piano expressing modern gesture of progressive Jazz small ensemble.
